More To Come From Inexperienced Lapis Blue
Showed a strong finishing burst to win off a moderate gallop last time out and should get better the more she races.
This evening’s racing at Wolverhampton is uninspiring but Lapis Blue should be able to confirm the placings with Barbs Princess, Layla’s Oasis and Dodina in the 5.00 contest.
Lapis Blue was a winner last time out despite being outpaced early on. The sectional timings suggest the race was run at a moderate gallop therefore her strong finish deserves to be upgraded.
Her lack of early pace is a concern but I put that down to inexperience, it was only her fifth career start. I think there is more to come and she is slightly overpriced at 5/2 (Boylesports).
