Moonbi Creek Back To Winning Ways
Won over course and distance three starts back but has been unlucky in his attempts to add to victory.
Moonbi Creek was victorious over course and distance back in October and is due a change in fortune after two luckless attempts at the trip.
Two starts back he completely blew the start giving away 10 lengths on the field but only losing by five. It was an extraordinary performance considering he used plenty of petrol early in the race but still managed to clock the second fastest closing sectional.
Last time out he got a much better start but the pedestrian gallop meant the leaders weren’t slowing down at the finish. He still showed his customary turn of foot and was only beaten 0.75 lengths despite struggling to get a clear run.
This evening he is likely to get a strong pace with 12 runners in the field and if breaking on terms he can make the most of a favourable draw at 9/1 (BetVictor).
