Lingfield Tips: Expose
Capable of running sub-22s for the final two furlongs and with plenty of pace in the field the race could set up for him.
Dissent heads the market for the 3.50 Lingfield after he made all to win his last start but he’s opposable for two reasons.
He was visually impressive when putting every one to the sword 15 days ago but sectional timings suggest he ran close to par, with a finishing speed of 99.8%.
Secondly, he drops down to 5f and that could cause problems. He won’t get an easy lead like he did over 6f and his finishing burst (ran final 2f in 23.5s) is inferior to the likes of Expose who can cover the final 2f in under 22s.
Over the winter Expose was one of the big sectional eye-catchers, clocking 21.5s for a final 2f sectional in December.
Things didn’t go to plan on his last start on the all-weather, he was posted wide from a poor draw and held-up off a slow pace (overall finishing speed 106.6%) didn’t suit this strong closer.
We’ve not seen Expose for 102 days but his move to Shaun Harris isn’t a negative and with plenty of pace in the field, he could have the contest set up for him from an ideal draw.
