Light From Mars Rolls Back Years

Light From Mars Rolls Back Years

Been running well over an inadequate trip. Returns to 7f this evening and handicapper has given him a chance.

Light From Mars might be 11-years-old but he can roll back the years with victory in the 6.40 Kempton.

Winless since July 2014, the handicapper has finally relented and dropped the horse to 72, his second lowest rating ever. At his age he won’t be improving but he’s now at a level where he can be competitive and he shaped with promise on his last two starts.

Five furlongs around Wolverhampton was too sharp but in each race he stayed on well from the rear running a fast closing sectional.

I expect connections were just using these race to get him fit and help lower his handicap mark. This evening he returns to his optimal 7f trip and retains enough enthusiasm to warrant an interest at 10/1 (William Hill).
