Kempton Tips: Swiss Cross

Put in a fine performances chasing home York Glory in a quick time last week.

If York Glory produced the sprint performance of the all-weather season last week, logically Swiss Cross produced the second best because he only lost by half a length.

Understandably, connections have avoided a rematch this afternoon, but it also makes sense that he sticks to 6f. Swiss Cross’s best performances have come over 6/7f on turning tracks like Kempton, Epsom and Brighton.

It is also good news that Phil McEntee’s horses are starting to find some form after a frustrating summer. The Newmarket trainer has sent out a winner and numerous placed horses in the last fortnight, which has coincided with Swiss Cross’s return to form.

In a race where several of the opposition are better suited to 5f, Swiss Cross looks the best bet at 7/2 (William Hill).
