Kempton Tips: Spiritual Star
Not had much luck in running but his fast closing sectionals suggest he can still be competitive in this grade.
Winning off a mark of 91 has been beyond Spiritual Star on his last three starts but sectional ratings suggest he will still be competitive in the 3.25 Kempton.
Last time out he ran a 21.99s closing sectional, the fastest in the race despite being hampered in the home straight.
It was a similar story on the 28 February, when the gaps didn’t open for him as he tried to accelerate into a quickening pace.
His hold-up style often makes him a hostage to fortune but Kempton’s longer straight means there is more time to pick a gap.
The favourite, Made With Love looks opposable because neither his overall nor sectional times have impressed and at 7/1 (Bet365), Spiritual Star is the value.
