Kempton Tips: Silvee

Successful at a higher grade in the summer and showed promise on return from a break.

The 5.50 Kempton is not a particularly strong class 6 handicap and considering Silvee scored at a class 4 level this season, she should have the edge in terms of ability.

Her form took a dip after her victory at Epsom but she bounced back from a 2-month break with an improved effort at Lingfield last time out. She showed bright early pace to chase the runaway leaders and despite going too quick and lacking race sharpness she was only beaten 2.25 lengths.

It must also be noted that her last three races have been at 7f where she has a poor 1/28 strike rate. This evening she reverts to her optimum 6f trip where she is 4/31. Well drawn in stall 6 and with a winning jockey on board she looks overpriced at 8/1 (William Hill).
