Kempton Racing Tips: Silenzio

Has won his last two and unlucky not to have a 100% record sprinting. Looks the most progressive horse in a field of exposed handicappers.

In what looks like an even contest in the 5.05 at Kempton there is much more to come from Silenzio. Richard Hannon’s three-year-old has won his last two starts and would be three from three over six furlongs if he hadn’t met terrible interference at Windsor.

This will be only his 11th career start and looking at his speed ratings, he is a progressive horse. He has improved his speed number each time he has raced and after a 58-day break, I imagine he will step up his performance again.

The surface holds no fear as he has placed at Kempton before, albeit over seven furlongs. The widest draw in stall 12 is considered a negative, but it has a surprisingly good record if you look at our draw bias charts. Silenzio likes to come from off the pace, so expect him to be dropped in behind the field so he can get the inside rail.

At 5/1 with Paddy Power this is an unexposed sprinter you want on your side.
