Kempton Tips: Seven Lucky Seven
Strong traveller who looked unlucky on his last couple of starts. Will enjoy the likely strong pace.
This evening I’m backing Seven Lucky Seven to make it a trio of winning hold-up horses.
So far this winter he has not been living up to his name. He looked a certain winner two starts ago at Kempton only to throw away the race in the final furlong having traded long odds-on in-running.
He’s a horse who doesn’t find much off the bridle, as one win in 18 starts suggests but the way he travels I expect he can find a little race on the all-weather.
Strong travelling horses often need a strong pace to ‘fall in’ for the win and that looks on the cards in the 7.10 Kempton with Pick A Little and Spowarticus regular front-runners.
This might also be Seven Lucky Seven’s last opportunity to race in a 0-65 handicap, as he keeps going up the weights without winning. At 4/1 (Bet365) he is given one last chance.
