Kempton Tips: Mr Optimistic
Wide margin winner over course and distance last time out and handicap mark way below his peak.
Mr Optimistic is a short price to win the 7.00 Kempton but still rates a good bet given the edge he enjoys over his rivals.
Last time out he romped home by 2.25 lengths and was value for even further considering his jockey never got serious with his mount.
In this low grade, wide margin winners often struggle to repeat their performances but I don’t think Mr Optimistic’s win was a fluke.
When Richard Fahey trained him, he won off a mark of 80, and he has five career victories to his name. Rated just 54, there is plenty of headroom in his mark and now he has regained his form I expect him to rack up a string of victories.
At 13/8 (Bet365) he still rates a good bet because he has so much in-hand over his rivals.
