Kempton Racing Tips: Clear Praise
Won the race last year and travelled well for a long way after a three-month break.
Winner of the corresponding race last year, I expect Clear Praise to make it two in a row in the 7.05 at Kempton tonight.
In December, he finished a close sixth over course and distance after a three-month layoff. He looked a big danger turning into the straight, travelling better than all his rivals. After moving towards the front in smooth style his run flattened out in the last 200 yards and he lost several places. I assume this was a lack of sharpness after the layoff.
In the five sprint races he has contested at Kempton, he has never been beaten more than 2.25 lengths. After an early morning rally, expect his price to ease during the day making the 11/2 with Paddy Power good value with the insurance of Best Odds Guaranteed.
