Kempton Tip: Saluti
Slightly unlucky when the winner drifted across him last time but 7 lengths clear of the third and time quicker than division 1 of the maiden.
Saluti might still be a maiden but that is down to bad luck rather than ability. Last time out at Kempton he lost by a head but should have won the race in the Steward’s room after Al Reeh drifted into him at the finish.
Everything else was beaten comfortably, with Enfolding 7 lengths further back in third. The times also reflect well on Saluti.
The leaders in division 2 of the maiden (Saluti’s race) were 1.2s slower over the first 3f of the race compared to division 1 but came home 1.4s quicker. That means Saluti ran a faster time than the winner of division 1, despite running in a more inefficient manner.
Back over the same course and distance in the 3.45 Kempton, he can make amends.
