Kempton Racing Tip: Boragh Jamal

Showed a good level of form when second over six furlongs last time out and should be better for the drop to the minimum distance.

A good little race in the 7.20 at Kempton with plenty of in form horses. Kylladdie is the paper favourite but I have issues with his form.

He didn’t look a winner in waiting but then surprised by winning at Wolverhampton in first time blinkers. The question mark is whether the headgear will work again. He got a perfect trip from stall one that day and for a horse who couldn’t win a claimer in January his profile doesn’t fill with me with confidence.

The horse I like the look of is Boragh Jamal. Stall one isn’t much bother as she likes coming from off the pace. Other than the high rail there isn’t much bias in the draw over five furlongs at Kempton.

Last time out she finished clear of the pack but couldn’t hold off the fast finishing Pelmanism. That was over an extra furlong and it was obvious her stamina was stretched. Back to a more suitable five furlongs she should be better.

Her previous efforts over course and distance have resulted in a good win over La Fortunata (now rated in the 80s) and a fourth place behind Desert Strike. She was badly hampered that day and might have won with a clear run. In theory should could be 2/2 over course and distance, the fact she isn’t means we get a better price.
