Kempton Racing Tip: Absa Lutte

Dropped back to five furlongs should bring this best out this mare who has won 5 of her 22 all weather starts.

The betting market in the 17:35 at Kempton is completely back to front. If you can forgive the last run of Absa Lutte then she should be favourite for this. Last time out she had a poor draw and was stuck out wide for the whole six furlong race, it was only a fair performance but excusable.

Today she is dropped back to five furlongs and has the excellent George Baker on board. Again drawn in stall two the bookmakers think this is a bad draw. If you check out our Kempton draw bias analysis you’ll see it isn’t. She is drawn in stall -8 (eight places off the rail).

Her record over five furlongs is also much stronger. She has raced twice over the distance since moving to the Michael Mullineux yard and twice finished third. Both were better races than this and in each race Absa Lutte finished a length behind Feelin Foxy. That horse is now rated in the mid-80s, Absa Lutte is rated 71; it shows that she is well handicapped over five furlongs.
