Picansort has been an absolute revelation on the all-weather since he was fitted with blinkers and is a worthy favourite for the 6.30 Kempton.
His all-weather record over 5f in blinkers is: 11121, his only defeat came when making his run against Lingfield’s unfavoured far rail.
Apart from the obvious improvement brought by the headgear, Picansort also needs a strong pace to aim at and he is in luck this evening. Powerful Wind, Island Legend and West Coast Dream are all front-runners and there is a strong chance they take each other on and go too fast.
With an excellent draw in stall 1, the race could fall into Shane Kelly’s lap at 5/2 (William Hill).
