Golden Steps Shine Bright

Golden Steps Shines Bright

Has run well in Listed/Group races of late without it affecting his handicap mark.

Golden Steps achieved a high level of form during his 3-year-old career, running in plenty of big sprint handicaps but I think the best is yet to come.

On his last UK start he was beaten 1.5 lengths in a Listed race at Lingfield. He was slightly unlucky as he was forced to race in rear and the sharp track caught him out. Nevertheless, he ran the final 2f in under 22s, which is usually the sign of a good horse.

Last time out he ran in a valuable Group 3 sprint in Doha. The race didn’t receive much coverage but the competition was strong and from the video we can see Golden Steps (light purple silks) was slightly unlucky.

After fluffing the start, he had to weave a path through the field. He was one of the strongest finishers and although held by the winner, he was probably the second best horse in the race.

The handicapper hasn’t altered his mark despite good runs in Listed and Group races and that makes him a great bet at 7/2 (Bet365).
