Ffos Las Tips: Artesana
Trainer won the race last year and Artesana showed some ability when second at Windsor in June.
Another uninspiring day of racing but our patience can be rewarded in the final race of the day, the 8.30 Ffos Las.
William Knight won the race last year with a 3-year-old and he has another interesting runner in the shape of Artesana. She is the same age and of a similar profile, lightly raced and possibly improving.
She struggled over 14f in class 5 company at Sandown last time but this evening she takes a drop in class.
She previously hinted at ability when second at Windsor, running a good speed rating for the grade. She allowed the winner to dictate affairs from the front but showed a finishing burst to run the fastest closing sectional, 0.9s faster than the winner.
William Knight knows what it takes to win this race and the 10/1 (BetVictor) looks generous.
