Epsom Tips: Signor Sassi
Much improved since being gelded in July and looks a useful sprinter in the making.
Signor Sassi might only have a maiden win to his name but he was so impressive that he could be a smart sprinter in the making. If that is the case, he is a worthy favourite for the 2.50 Epsom.
Roger Varian’s three-year-old was gelded after his disappointing run at Sandown in July and that seems to have transformed his performances on the racetrack. He improved his best Racing Post Rating by 8lbs on his last start despite never being never fully extended.
Well drawn in stall one, he should be able to race handily before unleashing his strong turn of foot. He might be one or two classes above his opposition, making him the best bet at 10/3 with Paddy Power.
