Epsom Tips: Baldemar
Record over 6f at Epsom when ground is no faster than good is 1117.
Baldemar hasn’t won for a couple of years but he’s slipped to an attractive handicap mark and will be buoyed by a return to his favourite track in the 2.50 Epsom.
The 8-year-old has won three times at Epsom but the going is equally crucial to his chances. He is yet to win in 15 starts on good to firm ground therefore Richard Fahey will be delighted to see the going described as ‘good’ for this afternoon’s meeting.
Baldemar’s record over 6f at Epsom when the going is good or softer is 1117, his only defeat coming when he broke awkwardly from the gates and lost by 2.75 lengths.
