Epsom Tip: Baldemar
Loves the track and has his ideal ground. Very hard to beat.
Baldemar looks a rock solid selection in the 2.40 at Epsom and it is a surprise that he is not favourite.
A winner in two of his three visits, the track seems to bring the best out of this horse. Having also never won on good to firm going, the ease in the ground is perfect. The only time this horse tasted defeat at Epsom was when the going was quick.
Having spent most of his career racing in class two events, it is a rare opportunity to see Baldemar contesting a class four sprint. With three wins from ten attempts at this level, it is a grade he certainly feels comfortable in.
A combination of good planning and good fortune sees him race at his favourite track, with ideal underfoot conditions. He won’t get a better opportunity to win again all season.
