Doncaster Tips: Yeeoow
Returning to the early season form that made him a sprint handicapper to watch. Ran well in Ayr Silver Cup despite a troubled passage.
After his early season exploits I thought Yeeoow was going on to land a big sprint handicap, possibly even the Wokingham, but he lost his form during the middle of the summer.
It’s possible he was injured when badly hampered at Ripon in June, but whatever the reason he is back to his best.
Three starts back at Goodwood he finished sixth, but second best of horses drawn in single figures. He then finished a close third at Doncaster on good to soft ground in September and backed it up with a four length defeat in the Ayr Silver Cup.
I was particularly impressed by his performance at Ayr because he had to switch numerous times and was eventually forced to make his run down the unfavoured middle of the track.
Having started the season running an excellent fifth in a hot Doncaster handicap (four of the first six have since placed in Group company), he can round off the year with a big win at 16/1 (Boylesports).
