Desert To Strike at Wolverhampton

Revitalised by the switch to Alan McCabe's yard a drop in class and trip should see this horse strike at Wolverhampton today.

They should go plenty quick enough in the 14.25 at Wolverhampton to set the race up for Desert Strike. Claimed out of Paul Cole’s yard for a meagre £3,500, the horse has already repaid connections with a couple of wins this winter.

A quirky individual he is prone to the odd poor performance but when getting his ideal conditions he is a fair animal. At the end of December he won a good 0-75 handicap at Kempton over five furlongs, today dropped back to five he faces a bunch of 0-65 horses.

The switch to the Alan McCabe yard has improved the horse but the key is to get him cover and get settled behind a fast pace. Drawn in stall two and with the likes of Cape Royal and Decider on his outside he should get conditions to suit.
