Catterick Betting Tip: Mata Hari Blue
In better form than most of these and won on her only visit to the track.
Not a huge amount to get excited about today from a betting perspective, so small stakes are advised in the 5.30 at Catterick.
Although it slightly defies the laws of physics being drawn wide at Catterick and going the long way round seems to have its benefits. A draw of 12 or higher wins twice as often as it should.
Fortunately Mata Hari Blue is the best horse is in the field, conveniently drawn in stall 12. She was a winning tip for this column a month ago and has held her form since then. A second place at Kempton shows she is still running well, with her last three runs reading 212.
At a track that requires a degree of course experience, it is good to see she won her maiden here. At 9/2 our edge is only small, but she is the most likely winner.
