Southwell Tips: Mata Hari Blue
Her prominent style of racing suits the track, unlike the second favourite who likes to be held up.
On paper the 2.40 Southwell looks a two-horse race but I’m happy to oppose Climaxfortackle.
She is a slow starter, who likes to be held up in her races. These tactics don’t work well at Southwell where you need to race prominently to avoid the kickback. Furthermore, her last two wins came over 6f so a drop in trip is unlikely to suit either.
With her main rival accounted for, this looks like the perfect opportunity for Mata Hari Blue.
She is a prominent runner who has won over five and six furlongs during her career and is proven on the fibresand. She has run a couple of good races this season and looks the likely winner at 5/4 (Bet365).
