Carlisle Tips: Throckley
Ex-bumper horse used to carrying big weights which makes him ideal for Amateur races.
Throckley might be a 5-year-old but he is incredibly lightly raced an this ex-bumper horse is on the upgrade. He won a maiden at his third attempt each-time carrying a big weight because of his age. That bodes well for the 7.45 Carlisle because it is a Ladies Pro-Am and he has to carry 10-2.
Last time out he won well in the mud at Haydock but I don’t think he is ground dependant because he also ran well at Thirsk earlier in the season on going rated good.
His speed ratings have consistently been good and if given a strong pace to aim at he could win again.
