Bretherton Potentialy A Smart Sprinter
Clocked a good time when an impressive winner of his maiden 8 days ago. Has the potential to be a 90+ rated sprinter.
Bretherton was an eye-catching winner on his last start, when he slammed his rivals at Southwell by nine lengths.
The margin of victory wouldn’t have escaped anyone’s attention but I was impressed by the time he clocked.
Bretherton ran similar fractions and a comparable overall time to Abi Scarlet who won a strong class 4 handicap later on the same card.
On that performance I make Bretherton a 90-rated horse and considering he is a lightly raced 3-year-old, he has scope to improve further.
The one concern is whether he can replicate that form on anything other than fibresand but he’s run well at Lingfield and Wolverhampton and seems versatile.
