Barbs Princess To Reign At Wolverhampton

Would have won her last start if she had not got involved in a pace duel.

Barbs Princess was a classic victim of a pace duel on her last start and she can win if avoiding the same scenario in the 4.10 Wolverhampton.

Having been rushed up to take the lead after a sluggish start, Barbs Princess found Hannahs Turn in her way and the pair started battling for the lead over 3f from home.

It was a gallop that neither could sustain and in the last 200 yards both horses faded allowing Dream Scenario, who had been 10 lengths in arrears with two furlongs to go, to come from last to first to win the race.

Of the duelling front-runners Barbs Princess came off best, finishing 1.25 lengths ahead of Hannahs Turn, who franked the form by winning yesterday at Southwell.

Barbs Princess didn’t win last time out but she was the best horse in the race and can make amends at 9/4 (Betfred).
