Ayr Tips: Glenlini
Ran well when drawn on the wrong side at Thirsk two starts ago and will enjoy a return to better ground.
We are in the unusual position where the word ‘soft’ is missing from a going description at a northern racecourse. Horses are racing on good ground in the 4.45 Ayr and that could make a difference.
Glenlini’s turf campaign hasn’t really got started; four times this season she’s had to race on ground described as good to soft or worse. She’s not had much racing in her career but her best performance came on ‘good to firm’ ground, albeit back in 2009.
Two starts ago she was a close 5th behind Novalist at Thirsk, finishing second of those who raced against the stand’s side. She proved she was in good form and a return to a sounder surface could see her improve further.
At 10/1 (Bet365), she looks overpriced under more suitable conditions.
