WGC Match Play Tips: Matt Kuchar
Has plenty of match play experience, leads the tour in 1-putt percentage and won the event in 2013.
Matt Kuchar has won at least one PGA Tour event in five of the last six years and I’d be surprised if he went through 2015 without entering the winner’s enclosure.
The 36-year-old is a past winner of the WGC Match Play and the format seems to suit him.
He has played in three Ryder Cups and two Presidents Cups along with Palmer Cup and Walker Cup appearances as an amateur.
His record in the WGC Match Play is also strong. He’s never lost in the first round and finished third in 2011 as well as winning it in 2013.
He currently leads the tour in one-putt percentage and should give us a decent run for our money at 33/1 (Betfred), with ¼ odds if he reaches the semi-finals.
