WGC Match Play Tips: Rickie Fowler

Has finished 5-MC-P2-T6-T8 in his last five starts on the PGA Tour and ranks in the top-10 on tour for almost all the key metrics.

The WGC Match Play isn’t my favourite event to bet on because you can be knocked out before the tournament has barely started. Often this isn’t even related to skill, your player could simply run into an inspired opponent for 18 holes.

With that caveat out the way my first selection is Rickie Fowler.

The 27-year-old is enjoying a fabulous season, since the turn of the year he has finished 5-MC-P2-T6-T8 on the PGA Tour, only a win is missing.

Last year he made the knock-out stages and although he’s in a tricky group, his never-say-die attitude is ideal for match play.

Fowler ranks inside the top-10 for almost all the key metrics on tour and at 16/1 (William Hill) he is a good-each way bet with ¼ odds if he makes the semi-finals.
