WGC Match Play Tip: Jimenez Out of Puff

If this were a regular tournament, Ben Crane would be leading. Whilst his opponent has been gifted two games.

Yesterday’s golf tip was a lot closer than expected but it still won, so we can play up our winnings. Adopting the same tactic of backing someone playing well versus someone playing poorly; there is one standout bet.

Ben Crane thrashed McIlroy 8&7, but Crane won it rather than being gifted victory. An almost unbelievable six under through eleven holes makes him the hottest player in the tournament right now.

On the other hand, Miguel A. Jimenez won another scrappy game despite shooting +2. Always a weak match play golfer, I refuse to believe the Spaniard has turned a corner in this format since the Ryder Cup.

Ten shots would be separating these two on our hypothetical leaderboard. The 4/5 on Crane to win is scarcely believable given their contrasting form.
