Latest WGC Match Play Odds

Rickie Fowler thrashed Phil Mickelson and shortened in the betting. Meanwhile Ben Crane and Jason Day are flying under the radar. We have all the second rounds scores.

It was a difficult day for the top British players with Westwood, Casey and McIlroy all bowing out in the second round of the WGC Match Play.

The betting still remains wide open with Martin Kaymer just edging favouritism at 7/1 with Victor Chandler. At 33/1, YE Yang and Matteo Manassero are the outsiders of the 16 but as we have already seen anything can happen in match play.

Following on from yesterday’s golf news we have again collated the second round scores. They are as follows:

-6 R. Fowler
-6 B. Crane
-5 N. Watney
-5 J. Day
-4 M. Kaymer
-3 B. Watson
-3 M. Kuchar
-3 L. Donald
-3 R. Moore
-2 YE Yang
-2 M. Manassero
-2 G. Ogilvy
-2 JB Holmes
Par H. Mahan
Par G. McDowell
+2 MA Jimenez

Martin Kaymer was much improved on his first round display and probably justifies favouritism, but McDowell and Ogilvy again struggled. Ben Crane’s round is one to highlight as his six under score was achieved having only played eleven holes.

If we combine the first two rounds score, we have the following leaderboard: (Remember not everyone has played 36 holes):

-9 B. Crane
-9 J. Day
-7 R. Fowler
-7 B. Watson
-7 JB Holmes
-6 L. Donald
-5 N. Watney
-4 M. Kaymer
-4 M. Kuchar
-4 R. Moore
-4 M. Manassero
-4 H. Mahan
-3 G. Ogilvy
-2 YE Yang
-2 G. McDowell
+1 MA Jimenez

As you can see below the hypothetical leaders can still be backed at 20/1 and 18/1 respectively.
