US Masters Profiles: Adam Scott

A runner-up here in 2011 and again in the British Open last summer.

Age: 32

World Ranking: 7

Major Wins: 0

Augusta Record: Been coming to Georgia since 2002 when he finished T9. Played fantastically in 2011; a final round 67 saw him lead by two shots after playing 16 holes. Only pushed into T2 by the late heroics of Charl Schwartzel. T8 last year shows his love for this part of the world.

Form: A T3 at the WGC Cadillac Championship was the high point of 2013 so far for the Australian who hasn’t played as much as most in preparation for the first major of the year.

Verdict: The positive spin would be to say that Scott is getting closer to winning a big one after finishing second in the British Open last July. However, he blew a four shot lead with four holes to go at Lytham - you would worry if he was in a similar position around Amen Corner on Sunday. But potentially a great each-way option after consecutive major finishes of 7-T8-T15-2-T11.
