Jason Day might appear to be made of glass with various ailments (including a bad back at the WGC Match Play) but it’s not stopped him winning. The world number 1 has won six times in 13 starts dating back to the Canadian Open and that kind of strike-rate should make him a clear favourite.
His victory at the US PGA Championship felt like a watershed moment and there are likely to be plenty more majors going his way.
The distance Day drives the ball, Augusta was always going to suit and we can see that with finishes of 2-3-20-28 at the Masters.
His confidence must be sky-high after winning his last two starts and that gives him a significant edge over Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth who are still searching for their best.
At 13/2 he is a solid each-way bet with Skybet paying ¼ odds for a top-8 finish.
