The Masters Tips: Jason Day
Surely only a matter of time before he bags a major and Augusta is the perfect fit for his game.
The bookmakers aren’t giving much away at the top of the market but of all the ‘probable’ winners, Jason Day stands-out at the odds.
The Australian has the attributes to be a major champion, he is ranked 9th for driving distance on tour, 2nd for birdie average and 9th for adjusted scoring.
His record at Augusta is also good, with finishes of T2-3-T20 since his debut in 2011.
The one criticism of Day is that he doesn’t win often enough for a player of his talents but he started to put the record straight with victory at Torrey Pines in February.
At 16/1 (Boylesports) he is a solid each-way bet with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
