The Players Championship Tips: Kevin Na

The Players Championship Tips: Kevin Na

Might struggle to get over the line but has five top-5s this season and a good record a TPC Sawgrass.

Backing a player who was struck down by the yips at the Players Championship might seem like insanity but Kevin Na can’t be judged by normal means.

Those struggles came four years ago, at the time he said he was playing the best golf of his career but that statement probably deserves revisiting in light of recent performances.

Na has finished inside the top-25 of the FedEx Cup for the past two seasons and is safely ensconced in the top-30 again with five top-5s this season, the most recent coming at the RBC Heritage last month.

The problem for the 32-year-old is getting across the line, he only has one tour win to his name but another placed effort can still see us profit.

Na is currently 12th in strokes gained tee-to-green and 15th in adjusting scoring average. Combine that with an excellent course record (three top-10s) and there is every chance he goes well, especially if he gets out of his own way.

At 80/1 (Bet365) he is a good each-way bet with ¼ odds for a top-6 finish.
