JT Shriners Golf Tips: Nick Watney
In the last two years, he’s shot nothing worse than a 67 at TPC Summerlin.
It wasn’t until the recent playoffs that Nick Watney rediscovered his best form and I expect it to continue at the JT Shriners Open, a tournament where he’s enjoyed good results before.
The 31-year-old was runner-up at TPC Summerlin last year, his second consecutive top-10 finish at the event. It’s a venue that clearly suits his game; his last eight competitive rounds at the course are: 66-66-67-66-65-67-64-67.
If he continues to average five-under-par per round, then he is going to be near the summit of the leaderboard come Sunday. At 14/1 (Bet365) he looks a solid each-way bet with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
