JT Shriners Golf Tips: Scott Piercy

Finished T10 last year but has potential to do even better at his local course.

It has been a terrific year for Scott Piercy. The big hitting American won his second tour title, broke into the world’s top-50 and even made it to the Tour Championship.

At the start of the season, this was a tournament I had earmarked for him. Born in Las Vegas, TPC Summerlin is his local course and one he knows inside out. Speaking after the second round last year he said, “I’ve shot 60 around this golf course a few times. Even when I’ve not played decent I’ve shot 65 out here.”

The last three times Piercy’s played the JT Open, he’s finished T14-T28-T10, breaking par ten times, with a best round of 64. However, it sounds like there is even more to come. Whilst he is in such hot form, he looks cracking each way value at 25/1 (Bet365), with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
