OHL Classic Tips: Chad Campbell
Has not won for a while but fits the mould of past champions and finished T26 on last visit in 2012.
You have to go all the way back to the Viking Classic of 2007 to find Chad Campbell’s last win but there have been signs in the last few months that the fire still burns bright.
Campbell finished T7 at the Travelers and T13 at the John Deere Classic and although he’s not been able to string two good weeks together there’s been plenty of high points, including a third round 62 at Deere Run.
The 40-year-old fits the bill of ‘veteran ball-strikers’ that have gone well in the past at Mayakoba and he finished a tournament high T26 in 2012.
At 125/1 (Bet365), he is a good each-way bet with ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
