OHL Classic Tip: Kyle Reifers
Finished T11 in Puerto Rico last year another course with Paspalum greens. 3/3 in cuts made at Mayakoba with a best of T35.
In terms of top-10s and earnings, 2016 was Kyle Reifers’s most successful season on the PGA Tour but there’s plenty more to come from the 33-year-old.
Averaging 287-yards off the tee there are certain courses where Reifers struggles to compete but Mayakoba isn’t one of them. A T29 two years ago hinted at his potential on this course and he returns in good form.
Reifers has finished T35-T60-T41 so far this season but you have to go back to late August to find the last time he missed the cut.
Last season he finished T11 in Puerto Rico one of the few courses on the PGA Tour that has Seashore Paspalum greens like Mayakoba. Reifers should find himself comfortable on the course and the greens making him a good bet at 150/1 with Paddy Power paying 6 places at 1/5 odds.
