OHL Classic Tips: Brian Stuard

Finished T2 on this course in 2010 and one of the straightest hitters on tour.

One of the features of the PGA Tour is the amount of young American talent coming through the ranks. The likes of Jordan Spieth and Billy Horschel have been destined for the top since their amateur days but several players take the more scenic route.

Roberto Castro enjoyed his breakout season aged 28 and a similar thing might happen to Brian Stuard.

The 30-year-old enjoyed a quietly productive 2013, finishing 78th in the FedEx Cup with four top-10 finishes.

Steady rather than spectacular, Stuard is one of the straightest hitters on tour and is suited by courses like El Camaleon where there is a premium on accuracy.

Having finished T2 at the course in 2010, Stuard is overpriced at 100/1 (Betfred).
