Humana Challenge Tips: Bo Van Pelt
Birdie-machine who finished 2012 in fine style with a string of top-10 finishes and a win in Australia.
It is only 16 days into the New Year and it’s already time for a Bo Van Pelt tip. Regular readers will know that Bo is a Betting Bias favourite, a quick search on Google will see we have tipped him six times in the past!
Unfortunately, the 37-year-old is yet to win for us on the PGA Tour but he is by no means a choker having registered a win in Australia as recently as October. The big thing he has in his favour this week is that he is a birdie machine.
Van Pelt ranked 5th on tour in 2012 for par-breakers and can go extremely low when on song. He flirted with a round of 59 at the CIMB Classic in November, playing impeccable golf until a double bogey on the final hole.
Ranked number 23 in the world, he perhaps doesn’t get the credit his golf deserves and at 25/1 (Betfred) he is a big price for a player who registered ten top-10 finishes on tour last year. Back him each-way and get ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
