AT&T Pebble Beach Tips: Nicholas Thompson
Ranked sixth for his all-round game so far this year and finished T7 at Pebble Beach back in 2008.
Having graduated from the Web.com Tour, Nicholas Thompson is enjoying a fine start to life on the PGA Tour. He’s finished T41-T6-T21 in his first three tournaments of the year and is an impressive sixth in the tour’s all-around ranking.
This isn’t Thompson’s first shot at the big time however. The 30-year-old enjoyed four seasons on the PGA Tour between 2006 and 2010, recording nine top-10 finishes. One of his finest results was a T7 at Pebble Beach in 2008, so he should return to the venue with fond memories.
Having endured the ups and down of professional golf, Thompson looks comfortable again on the biggest stage. If he can continue his early season form, he looks over priced at 125/1 (Paddy Power), back him each-way and get ¼ odds for a top-5 finish.
