AT&T Pebble Beach Tips: Phil Mickelson
Absolutely electric at the Phoenix Open last week and a 4-time winner at Pebble Beach.
You won’t see many a finer performance than Phil Mickelson’s victory at the Phoenix Open. He lipped-out a putt for an opening 59 and was a whisker away from breaking all kinds of tour scoring records. What it proved beyond doubt is there’s plenty of fire left in the 42-year-old.
Whilst in such good form I find it impossible to oppose Mickelson at Pebble Beach. He is defending champion and 4-time winner of the tournament.
There might be some concerns about a player going ‘back-to-back’ but Mickelson has done it before. The fact he was able to bounce back so quickly from a missed 59, shows his mental powers of recovery as well.
Stan James go 8/1 in their enhanced ‘win-only’ market and that looks a fair price.
