West Ham v QPR Tip

Harry Redknapp has won four of his last five top flight duels with Sam Allardyce.

You can’t help getting the feeling that Harry Redknapp has started to get his latest rescue act up and running since the turn of the year. QPR are unbeaten in four matches in January, keeping clean sheets against Chelsea, Spurs and West Brom. Next up the Hoops head to Upton Park and the away win suddenly looks on at a best price of 14/5 (Bluesquare).

With the defence looking tighter, QPR now also have the boost of a striker signing for a club record fee this week. French international Loic Remy may, or may not, take some time to settle but his arrival is a statement of intent and should only bolster the mood in general around Loftus Road.

This could be a good time to face West Ham (11/10 Bet365) who had a long night in vain at Old Trafford on Wednesday which extended their run to one win in eight in all competitions. The Hammers’ performance in their last Premier League fixture - a 3-0 thumping at Sunderland - was their worst of the season and set a few alarm bells ringing.

Sam Allardye is still struggling with injuries to key men, such as Andy Carroll, who is unlikely to be back in time for this London derby. With all this in mind, QPR must have a real chance to further close the gap on their relegation rivals.
