Sunday’s televised game may lack title-contending or relegation-fighting significance but it should still serve up a good helping of entertainment. There have been 35 goals scored in the last 8 meetings between these sides in all competitions; neither have managed a clean sheet in that run. At best odds of 9/4 (WilliamHill) this clash looks a good bet to produce over 3.5 goals once again.

There are no shortage of attacking players who can help us to win the wager. Roy Hodgson is hopeful that Peter Odemwingie will be fit after missing the trip to Wigan last weekend. The Nigerian was the Premier League Player of the Month for February after a blitz of goals as Albion picked up their form.

Newcastle will in turn look to Demba Ba who has scored four in two appearances against the Baggies. His Senegalese striker partner Papiss Cisse will also be on the goal trail after a sublime winning effort against Norwich last time out.

It finished 2-3 to the visitors when these sides met in the north-east back in December. We have every reason to think that this encounter will be equally lively and full of goals.
