Mitrovic Improving Fast

John Terry faces a tough challenge against the resurgent Serbian who is fast becoming a cult hero on Tyneside.

Guus Hiddink must be aware of how perilous his current status is. Sure he has a long unbeaten record, but failure to beat Newcastle would make it five home matches without a league victory. Unacceptable for Chelsea fans.

The biggest problem he has is at the back. The Blues have conceded eight times in their last four top flight outings at Stamford Bridge. Now that Kurt Zouma is ruled out for the season, the defence looks ever more vulnerable.

The man who looks most likely to profit on Saturday evening is Aleksander Mitrovic who looks a snip at a best price of 15/4 to score anytime with Ladbrokes.

The volatile £13m signing is finally finding his feet after two important goals in his last four starts for the Magpies.

We can see from shot analysis how his threat is greatly increasing over this recent spell and he is working goalkeepers regularly.

Mitrovic Total Shots v Last 4 Opponents. On Target in Brackets:

Man Utd - 3 (1) Goal
West Ham - 7 (5)
Watford - 3 (1)
West Brom 3 (3) Goal

This averages out at 4 shots per game for the Serbian which if sustained would put him up there with the most lethal strikers in the division.

The fact he has hit the target 10 times in those last four 90-minute appearances is even more encouraging.
