Stoke v West Brom Tip

I’ve always been a fan of scoreline predictions for Stoke City matches for the simple reason that you can normally rule out high scores which immediately simplifies the selection process. The Potters don’t score many, and they don’t concede many.

Mark Hughes’s men are in desperate need of points after a run of three straight top flight defeats but they face a West Brom team who are unbeaten in four. The Baggies have won at Old Trafford and held top of the table Arsenal so a trip to the Britannia won’t be particularly daunting. They are also fortified by the return of a host of attacking players from injury; Anichebe, Gera, Long and Vydra are all back.

For this reason I’m backing the Baggies to snatch a 1-0 victory at best odds of 15/2 with PaddyPower. BetVictor actually go as long as 19/2 but I would favour the Irish firm who will give you your money back if the game ends as a draw - a highly plausible outcome.
