The Saints hitman could have another good afternoon against off-form opponents.
There’s only been one period all season in which Rickie Lambert has gone more than three matches without a goal. He can keep that fine record of consistency going this afternoon by finding the net against West Brom at best odds of 6/4 with Ladbrokes.
Still, the top-scoring Englishman in the Premier League in 2012-13 with 14 goals, Lambert hopes of further success are only aided by the general improvement of his team. Southampton have soared up to mid-table, are unbeaten in six and are pretty formidable at St Mary’s Stadium these days.
WBA have only won once away since Boxing Day so there’s no reason why Lambert shouldn’t get back on the goal trail here.
