United & Liverpool To Lose Ground In Title Race

Liverpool aren't on top form but remain unbeaten against the rest of the top six this season. Mourinho has seen too many draws at home.

Cast your mind back to August. Liverpool had just lost unexpectedly at Burnley but responded with an impressive performance next time out in the Premier League, drawing 1-1 at Spurs.

I’m backing the same scoreline today at Old Trafford at best odds of 6/1 with WilliamHill.

The Meryseysiders face a similar situation. Unimpressive and short of goals since New Year, they have still been excellent against the rest of the top six in 2016-17 (W3 D2 L0).

Compare that record to Manchester United against the rest of the top six in league games (W1 D2 L2). It’s this difference which so far separates the sides in the table.

Mourinho made sure he got a 0-0 at Anfield back in October and after nine straight wins in all competitions will aim slightly higher this time around.

But Klopp has only lost once against Jose in six fixtures and has the ability to get an improvement out of his side when it counts. A low scoring share of the spoils looks most likely.
